Idaho continues to grow, and without intentionally defining the culture, it will drift into a melting pot of cultures from the newer residents, ultimately losing its unique qualities. Many people who move to Idaho want to exhibit the culture, are dissatisfied with where they came from, and are attracted to Idaho. Through the Idaho Preservation Society, they can learn the culture and help perpetuate it rather than dilute it.

There are many ways to support IPS even if you're not ready to join as a member. Sharing our mission and Idaho’s Core Values with others and interacting with us on social media are free and will help increase our impact. We also encourage you to partake in activities that embody the true spirit of Idaho (ie, attend town hall meetings, enjoy nature, be a good neighbor, engage with others while you’re out and about).
